Why Current transformers are used for measurement?
There are mainly two reasons for using current transformers in measurement:
1.To extend the range of the existing measuring instrument (Ammeter).
2.To isolate the circuit of measuring instruments from a high voltage line.
current transformers require a load resistor that is not part of this purchased coil part.
The load resistor is placed across the output of the coil, and the AC voltage across the resistor is proportional to the current flowing through the wire at the center of the coil.
NSQ Series current instrument transformers are designed for electric power systems of 50/60Hz rated frequency and rated voltage 0.66kV. They are used for indoor mounting.
Feature:
1:The Current Transformers Are Made According To IEC-185 Standard.
2. Class Of Accuracy: 1.0 (see table)
3. Rated Voltage: 600V (see table)
4. Rated Sec. Current 5A(or 1A on reque
5. Security Factor: FS5
6. Working Temperature Range: ABS plastic case, toally enclosed, built-in cover,
and several ampere outputs at secondary side iron plate for fixing metal housing-2 pieces-1,
iron bar and acrew for fixing copper bar-3 pieces.
Application
1:Current measurement, monitoring and protection for electrical wiring and equipment .
2:Current and power measurement for electric motors, lighting , air compressor , heating and ventilation system,
air-condition equipment and automation-control system
3: Current , power and energy monitoring device.
4: Relay prtection device.
