MR current transformer is a plastic enclosure, fully enclosed and indoor type.Suitable for power metering, current measurement and relay protection in power systems with rated frequency of 50HZ or 60HZ.The product conforms to IEC60044-1;2003 and GB1208-2006, current transformer & GT;Standard.The magnetic conductivity of MR current transformer is made of annealed ring core to ensure the accurate limit coefficient of product 5P5, 5P10 or 10P10.Ensure that the product is not saturated in a short circuit state, and effectively ensure the relay operation.

Like any transformer, current transformers have primary windings, core windings and secondary windings, although some transformers (including current transformers) use an air core.In principle, the only difference between a current transformer and a voltage transformer (common type) is that the former is supplied by a "constant" current while the latter is supplied by a "constant" voltage, where "constant" has a strictly theoretical significance for circuits.

The principle of a current transformer is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction.A current transformer consists of a closed core and winding.It's a little winding circle number, string in the current need to measure the line, so it often have all the current flows through the line, the secondary winding circle number is more, concatenated in measuring instrument and protection circuit, current transformer at work, its secondary loop is always closed, so the measuring instrument and protection circuit in series with the coil impedance is very small, the working state of the current transformer is close to a short circuit.
